-Dickinson Municipal Landing Beacon
If you have ever visited Dickinson Municipal on overcast days or at night, this may be a familiar sight to you. Even from miles north of Dickinson, the rotation of a green and white beacon is visable. This is the landing beacon. The colors (green and white) tell the pilots that this is a lighted- land airport.
-Dickinson Air Service Aircraft
These two single-engine planes are used primarily for flying lessons and other aerial services performed by Dickinson Air Service. The first one is a Piper Cherokee N280TC. The other is a Cessna Skyhawk.
Some of the services of Dickinson Air Service include flight instruction, aerial photography, and sight seeing. Please call 225-4221 for more information.
-Dickinson Charter Service Aircraft
Have the need to charter? Dickinson Air Service offers charter service in the plane above.
-United Express Flights 6114 and 6115
This is an odd occurance. Two United Express flights "caught up" to each other. Both flights were slightly delayed in arriving due to weather conditions. But, the ground crew performed an excellent and safe fuel and de-ice on both planes in under 10-15 minutes.
One of these planes (Flight 6114) is the newly added flight.
-United Express Flight 6114 Getting De-iced
Yup! It's a chilly day and the de-ice machine is working hard!
-Dickinson's VOR (Very high frequency Omni-directional Radio-range)
Here is the "backbone" of the surrounding Dickinson airways. This is the Dickinson VOR station.
A VOR is basically the average form of aerial navigation. The radio beacons "point" the pilot to the airfield.
